Christmas Party – 1984

Several risque and semi-libelous 'Christmas Carols' written and sung at this occasion, one of the favourite's was:

The VC's Christmas wish
(To the tune of 'Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer')

John the ageing Professor
had a very shiny dome
And if you ever saw it
you'd think that it was made of chrome
All of the other lecturers
used to laugh and call him names
They wouldn't let poor Prof John play
in any cricket games.

Then one foggy christmas eve
Maggie came to say
Prof John with your head so bright
we don't need no christmas lights.

How the V. C. loved him
and he shouted out with glee
We can all make a fortune
by renting you to MED
